DStv Streaming
Customers can sign up for DStv and take a streaming only subscription. This subscription does not require the customer to have a decoder nor an installation. Customers require internet and a device on which to stream DStv.
At launch, customers can take a streaming only subscription for DStv Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Family, Access or EasyView. Customers with streaming-only packages cannot add-on DStv Indian to their package, nor are they be able to ADD movies.

No, the pricing for packages is the same and existing value added benefits are also included (like special pricing on Showmax and more). There are no contracts available yet for streaming only subscriptions.
It’s important to note that with a streaming only subscription, payment by credit card is required BEFORE you can start viewing.
If you’re an existing DStv customer, you can add a streaming only subscription to your DStv account (using your current payment method). If you pay your subscription annually, please note that your streaming subscription requires monthly payment.
Absolutely, you can add a decoder onto your account at any time.
No, the pricing may be the same as subscriptions that use a decoder. However, please check for current offers.
No, you can stream DStv via browsers, mobile phones, selected Smart TVs and gaming consoles. You do however need a high speed internet connection.
We use adaptive bit-rate technology to enable the best possible picture for your chosen device and data connection. You can also take control of your data usage by selecting your preferred picture quality.
