1. Black Tax S1

This locally produced comedy stars Jo-Anne Reyneke as Thuli Dlamini, a single mom who takes her parents into her modest suburban townhouse after they run into tough times. Like most successful black professionals, she has to deal with black tax, that unwritten law that says, “give back to the community that helped you get where you are”. Also starring Jason Goliath, Clementine Mosimane as Thuli’s mother and Mandla Jwara as her father.

2. Tydelik Terminaal S1

It’s the last episode of this coming-of-age drama about young cancer patient Kittie who’s learning to make peace with her condition. Mandy (Eve Rasimeni) is at a crossroads and has to make decisions about her life and a wonderful new opportunity presents itself to Fanie (Hendrik Nieuwoudt).

3. Sara se Geheim S3

The Cloete, Kiewiets and Vermeulen families return for a third season of this dark drama where not everything is as it seems. 8. Kwa Mam’ Mkhize S1

Formally Shauwn Mpisane, this Durban businesswoman has now reclaimed her maiden name after her much-publicised divorce from her now ex-husband Sbu Mpisane. Mkhize is the daughter of ANC veteran and anti-apartheid activist Florence Mkhize. This show about her fabulous life is already creating waves in the Twitter-verse and is well worth a watch.

Colonel Piet van der Bijl (Waldemar Schultz) is a brilliant detective who specialises in catching serial killers. His entire being is focused on life’s details and the pieces of the puzzle which don’t always seem to fit. Five years have passed since the last episode of season one with Bijl and Nicki’s relationship now run dry, Juan works in the cyber division and Lena’s now married and has a little boy.
