6 Local shows to record this week

From new seasons of Come Dine With Me South Africa and Dloz’lami to made-for-TV movies like Genoeg, local entertainment reigns supreme on DStv this week.

South Africans can be extremely amusing at the best of times – which is why DStv’s given them a platform to express themselves all year long!

This week, the second half of Come Dine with Me South Africa hits BBC Lifestyle (DStv channel 174). Tune in for delicious dishes, as well as hilarious commentary by nature-show host David Lamb as he provides his observations on the contestants – all from a wildlife perspective, of course.

The Way Ngingakhona and Dloz’lami both return for a second season on Moja Love (DStv channel 157). In the former, a reality show about three friends who are part of South Africa’s LGBTQI+ community, Tholang has finally found love while MJ is starting fatherhood. In Dloz’lami, host Thembi Nyathi is back to help families find emotional balance by connecting them with their spiritual guides.

There’s also plenty of great local film this week with Ukuvala Inxeba (Family Matters) on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161), while kykNET (DStv channel 144) will move you to tears with dramas Genoeg and Rykie.
