With everything that is changing around us in these challenging times, you can rely on us to put your needs at the heart of everything we do. As circumstances require you and your loved ones to spend more time at home, we remain committed to supporting you with the best available programming, to keep you and your family entertained and informed. As we all adjust to new ways of living, you can trust us to be your constant companion wherever you are.

As schools across the country have closed, we are working to give you access to the best available educational content, to help keep young minds stimulated and engaged.

We will provide you with broad access to information at this time, by making news channels more widely available across the continent. We have been in constant communication with health authorities such as the World Health Organisation, and we will be rolling out an Africa-wide public service announcement on Covid-19. It is important that all of us take heed of the announcements and advice from trusted experts so that we can look after our own health and that of our loved ones.

From today:

  • Stay In the Know

To keep you informed wherever you are over the coming weeks, we’ve made news channels available for non-subscribers on the DStv Now app. We have also included CNN to DStv Family and Access subscribers, and have launched Africanews on CH417.

  • For the Kids

You can access educational content on channel Mindset (CH319) and we are also adding educational channel Da Vinci (CH318) until the end of May. In addition, we will also bring Nickelodeon (CH305) to DStv Compact, Family and Access subscribers until the 14th April.

  • Re-live Sports

As you are aware, live sport is massively impacted; we have acquired the best award-winning sports documentaries from around the globe, and produced thematic channels for you to relive the greatest sporting moments of all time.

We will also bring SS1 to DStv Compact Plus and Compact, and the SS7 channel to DStv Access.

  • Much More Movies

We’re adding 10 additional movies to BoxOffice giving you 40 of the latest blockbusters and increasing the line-up for kids and family viewing. This is sure to get you through date night or family movie night. And, we’ve reduced the cost of rental to R25 during this period.

Customer care 

We care for our staff, and during this time we have encouraged those that are able to work from home to do so. This means that you may experience a delay in our ability to service you, however we will do our very best to sort out any issues you may have, timeously.

We also have a number of self-service and online platforms available or you to use.

  • Need an installation? We have implemented extra measures to limit exposure and safe guard the wellbeing of both our customers and accredited DStv installers, whilst installing in your home.
