All new British telly coming soon to DStv


DStv continues to enhance its British entertainment offering with the a slew of brand new shows coming soon.

Fans of British entertainment are in for a treat as DStv continues to refresh its content offering.

For decades, DStv has proven its commitment to fans of British entertainment by acquiring some of the best content titles available to its customers. Now, an increased range of British content have been added to DStv’s suite of popular BBC channels, as well as on M-Net (DStv 101), Catch Up and Showmax.

Best-loved British shows find new home on M-Net

In July, MultiChoice Group announced that the M-Net Channels (M-Net DStv 101 and M-Net City DStv 115) would be expanding their must-see entertainment slate with beloved series from Great Britain. This meant that brand new seasons of popular British shows like The Chase and Love Island UK could now be viewed on DStv Premium’s flagship channel, while popular daily soaps Emmerdale and Coronation Street would be screened on M-Net City.

Now, M-Net has announced even more brand new British entertainment coming soon to the channel. This includes:

Beecham House S1

A British historical drama television series set in Delhi 1795, before British rule, and depicts the lives of the Beecham family in their newly bought house. The family is headed by John Beecham, a former soldier with the East India Company who is "determined to make the house his safe haven". The ensemble cast includes Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey), Gregory Fitoussi (Mr. Selfridge), Adil Ray (Citizen Khan), Pallavi Sharda (Lion), Dakota Blue Richards (Endeavour), Leo Suter (VictoriaSanditon), Bessie Carter (Howard’s End) and Marc Warren (Safe, Hustle).

Britain’s Got Talent S14

In order to win the title, the people of Britain showcase their talent ranging from mundane to the most extraordinary acts that are seemingly impossible.

Binge your British faves on Showmax

In addition to M-Net, the MultiChoice Group has further enhanced its British entertainment offering by including popular British titles on popular internet streaming service, Showmax.

Already, the first two seasons of the epic, bloody and unexpectedly irreverent period fantasy Britannia, as well as the debut seasons of TrigonometryDas BootMiracle WorkersThe War of the WorldsGood Karma Hospital and Noughts and Crosses are available to stream first on Showmax. Also available to stream are Attenborough: 60 Years in the Wild and, come 24 August, the Emma Thompson-led Years and Years will added to the platform as well.

DStv Premium, Compact Plus and Compact customers can enjoy the show at a reduced rate if they add Showmax to their DStv bill.
