I May Destroy You S1

British actress and comedian Michaela Coel created and stars in the unorthodox British comedy-drama series I May Destroy You. The unexpectedly funny series centres on Arabella “Bella” (played by Coel), a novelist and social media influencer who wakes up after a night out and slowly realises that she has been drugged and sexually assaulted. The show focuses on her life after that moment, as Bella battles to make sense of everything and pushes back against having it take over her identity. As creator and director of the series, Michaela points out that horror and humour can happen at the same time and to the same person.

Mrs. America S1

Cate Blanchette gives a stunning portrayal of the radical Republican and anti-feminist advocate Phyllis Schlafly who waged a war against the ’70s-era women’s movement in this historical miniseries. “As a polarising and contradictory figure, she really changed the course of the American political landscape,” says Cate. Aside from exploring Phyllis’s contradictory behaviour, the series explores the contradictions within the feminist movement itself at the time, which side-lined the voices of the black, the poor and those of different sexualities. The cast includes Uzo Aduba as Shirley Chisholm and Niecy Nash as Flo Kennedy.
