Celebrity Game Night has SA in stitches!

With its A-list stars performing outrageous shenanigans, the hilarious game show has brought positivity to TV screens and captured the heart of the nation.

Sometimes, all you need is a good laugh – and that’s exactly what Celebrity Game Night is here to give you.

Hosted by the much-loved darling of radio Anele Mdoda, the weekly game show sees popular comedian Jason Goliath and gorgeous media personality Ayanda Thabethe lead two teams of celebrities battling it out to win each episode. The outrageous party games test their pop culture knowledge, acting skills and nerves of steel.

As host, Mdoda guides well-known African celebrities over the course of each episode, alongside team captains Goliath and Thabethe, to ensure the game night is filled with fun and frolics.

Your favourite people in one place

With a new team of celebrities featured on the show each week, Celebrity Game Night offers viewers the chance to see their favourite stars in their element. In fact, as popular comedian and television personality Jason Goliath said in an exclusive interview with DStv.co.za, his favourite thing about being involved in Celebrity Game Night is that this will be the first time that South Africa gets to see him as his absolute self.

“I was so involved with the games and got so sucked into the show to the point where I forgot there were cameras,” Jason said in this interview. “I feel like for every celebrity on the show, we live in this world of constant PR and we show the camera “our good side” and our fans get used to seeing that made-up persona. This programme will show you the truth, the fun side, the competitive spirit and all the rawness you don’t always see from your favourite idols.”

It’s fun for everyone

“This is such a light-hearted show, it’s simply about fun and seeing your favourite celebrities become themselves without the facade of showbiz,” Ayanda Thabethe said in her interview with DStv.co.za. And we couldn’t agree more.

Says Ayanda, “South Africans will love Anele Mdoda for her fun and loud personality, Jason is a natural-born entertainer and for me, people will see Ayanda in her true element. I think I’m known as a somewhat serious presenter, but on Celebrity Game Night, I let it all down and become that feisty competitive girl.”
