DStv has something fun for kids of all ages on 4-10 June

Treasure your kids’ spark of imagination with DStv movies and shows like The Snow Queen: Mirrorlands, TinkerBell And The Lost Treasure, Tinpo & Teen Titans Go

This week’s movies on DStv’s School Of Laughter are a feast for the imagination, from the beautifully animated Russian movie The Snow Queen: Mirrorlands, to the absurd action of Scooby Doo And The Gourmet Ghost (watch with the kids and see if you can recognise those famous TV chefs’ voices), and the brave adventures of the fairies in TinkerBell And The Lost Treasure, which has been a hit with boys and girls alike thanks to its daring, action driven storylines.

Parents with small children, sit down and watch the brand-new BBC animated series Tinpo with them and admire how cleverly it models problem solving techniques with stories that’ll intrigue any mechanically minded toddler. And if you’re wanting to build their English vocabularies, send a dog to do the job – because Martha Speaks, and she’s a very good girl!

There are also brand-new episodes of superhero series Teen Titans Go (which is crossing over with DC Superhero Girls this week), along with PJ Masks and Paw Patrol.

Watch, laugh and learn with even more DStv children’s shows and movies in our School Of Laughter here.

Teach the tinies

Tinpo S1

Tinpo is a computer-animated series about problem solving for tiny kids. In each episode, Tinpo and his team set about fixing a situation by asking “What if we tried this?” For example, what do you do if a truck is carrying a load that makes it too big to fit through a tunnel? No idea is too crazy to start with, but as they compare their ideas, the team settles on the best course of action. Together, they can handle anything that crops up around their home, Tinpotown.

Watch daily from Wednesday, 9 June on CBeebies (DStv channel 306) at 16:50

Martha Speaks S5

When Martha the talking dog accidentally eats some alphabet soup, she suddenly finds out that she can speak. Now there’s nothing Martha loves more than teaching kids new words like palaeontologist, archaeologist, demonstrate, predicament and alibi. Based on the children's book series by Susan Meddaugh. But if there’s 1 kid she wishes would speak up for herself more, it’s Martha's shy best friend and her guide in life, 10-year-old Helen. This season listen out for comedian Kenan Thompson in episode 5, Stanley Saves The Day.
