DStv’s Valentine’s Day highlights for kids

Sweet, silly and even educational, DStv’s Valentine’s Day highlights will keep your kids entertained while you cuddle up with your own true love

Do your kids love and kiss everything in sight, or are they at that stage where kissing is weird and gross (yet they don’t mind kissing the dog and chasing the cat for cuddles)? Whatever your little lovebugs feel about romance and Valentine’s Day, DStv has a show for them this romantic weekend. It’s sweet, silly fun and there’s even some education about the forces of attraction and how animals in the wild find that special someone.

With DStv’s School of Laughter keeping the kids company, perhaps you can sneak a little me-time to prepare for your own Valentine’s Day… or just join the kids on the couch, whip out the chocolate and ice cream, and prepare for a giggle.

Catch The Love Bug

Ewww! They’re kissing. With their mouths. They’re singing goopy love songs! They’re vomiting rainbows! It’s so gross and contagious and if you’re not careful, you could catch The Love Bug. Symptoms: going pink, hearts in your eyes, chest pounding, puckering lips, saying “awwww” and watching more. Cartoon Network (DStv 301) is celebrating Valentine’s Day this February with their The Love Bug collection of love-themed episodes of the following shows:

Power Rangers Super Beast Morphers episode 208

Curiosity Valentine’s Day

Looking for ideas to woo your partner? Try the animal kingdom for inspiration. Or perhaps don’t. In animal world, some animals are into 1-night stands, while others go on 1 date, then move in together for good. Often the only way you’re getting anywhere is by pulling some epic dance moves. These animals woo their intended with everything from baths, to bouquets, to tempting that special someone to have an egg (or a cub or what have you).
