We’re all just kids at heart and this week’s School of Laughter picks drives that point home.
Fans of the original hit television show That’s So Raven will enjoy watching Raven and Chelsea’s adult adventures along with their kids in Raven’s Home on Disney Channel (DStv channel 303). In the fourth season of the show, twins Booker and Nia, along with their friend Tess, are headed on the biggest adventure yet – high school.
M-Net (DStv channel 101) brings the magic and exploration of the summer holidays to the small screen with Four Kids and It. Based on the 2012 novel Four Children and It by Jacqueline Wilson, which in turn was based on the 1902 novel Five Children and It by E. Nesbit, the film sees the Trent family go on holiday to Cornwall where the children discover a mysterious creature who is able to grant wishes.
There’s also more Thomas & Friends films for the little ones on Jim Jam (DStv channel 310). In Thomas & Friends: Day of the Diesels, Thomas grows closer to new engines Belle and Flynn while Percy starts hanging out at the Dieselworks – to troubling ends. In Thomas & Friends: Hero of the Rails, Thomas and his buddies must help save an abandoned engine called Hiro from heading to the Smelters Yard.
The magic doesn’t end there with My Little Pony: Pony Life on Boomerang (DStv channel 302). In this spinoff of the hit franchise, the ponies move to Sugarcube Corner where Pinkie Pie runs a local bakery and hangout – and hides a secret she only brings out when the need arises. Meanwhile, a unique family takes up residence on Cartoon Network (DStv channel 301) in Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese.
With so many great kids’ shows, you and the kids will need to take turns controlling the remote.
