Throw away the rules of love with two new reality shows back-to-back on Lifetime (DStv channel 131) every Tuesday. First, join Sex and the City star Kristin Davis on an unusual new reality game show, Labor of Love. Following trends in dating, the idea behind the show is to follow 10 men's quest to impregnate the potential mother of their children. The twist? Only one will succeed. Each week, the men participate in challenges designed to test their character, skill and ability to establish a strong bond with the mother-to-be. Meanwhile, in a t tale of modern romance, Passport to Love follows American women as they make the journey to find love in different countries. Packed with stories of global entanglements and awkward misconnections, it’s a story of romance in the modern age.

In need of a little comedic relief? 1Magic (DStv channel 103) has got you covered! Tone Bell: Can’t Cancel This will have you laughing and crying. On the surface, he may appear like many other up-and-coming Hollywood comedians but spend some time with Tone Bell and you’ll see there’s more to him than meets the eye. Marina Franklin: Single Black Female covers all the latest and greatest trends. What does it mean to be woke? Is chivalry allowed or frowned upon? What is the difference between hanging out and dating? The Chicago native’s relatable take on the massive changes in culture is hilarious and poignant.

Sixty-three-year-old New York rapper N.O.R.E. takes a break from his hectic schedule to do something most people never get the chance to do: eat at the finest restaurants across America. He shares his revelations on On the Run Eatin’ with N.O.R.E on 1Magic (DStv channel 103).

If you love a fashion makeover show, then You Are What You Wear on BBC Lifestyle (DStv channel 174) will have you doing a complete closet rehaul. Join the Style Department as they head to some of Britain’s busiest shopping shores to transform people who think they have no style. Each week, the show will shift the look of five members of the public from sloppy, shabby and scruffy to glamorous head-turners by giving them five days – and just £200 – to try out fresh new looks from different department stores.

Survival of the Species with Ben Fogle on BBC Earth (DStv channel 184) is a thought-provoking, observational documentary series that follows the famed adventurer on an epic journey across Africa. Join him to find out more about the devastating impact of poaching on animals and how it affects our planet.

Tone Bell: Can’t Cancel This

Tone Bell is a comedian. Not your typical Hollywood funnyman, though. His earnestness, his relatable stories from everyday life, his oddball observations, his hyper-caffeinated energy… They all make him an appealing underdog but instead, he’s fighting against a status quo that demands we be conventional personalities or die trying.

Marina Franklin: Single Black Female

Where are we as a black community now? It’s been eleven months since America got “woke” to the great battle we’ve been fighting and how much work there is to be done. We’re in a time where women and minorities are speaking up and coming together, but it’s also a time where we are ridiculed on television and told to “ignore the trolls” by white people. What does it mean to be woke, anyway? Is there an expectancy for those of colour to understand white allies? All this and more are explored in this funny but poignant stand-up act.
