From Bumblebees to Butterflies – the best new movies to catch this week

A killer-hunting teen, transformer with amnesia, a French convict’s prison-break and two Lifetime literary adaptations will keep you entertained.

Bumblebee

It’s 1987, and Bumblebee finds himself without his voice or memories, teamed up with teenager Charlie. This prequel to the Transformers franchise has a whole lot of heart and all the action fans have come to expect. It calls to mind 80s action-adventure hits like E.T. and Short Circuit, and Rolling Stone describes it as a blockbuster that “transforms itself into something meant to be watched by actual thinking, feeling human beings”.
