Who needs the club when DStv is bringing you peak entertainment between Christmas and New Year
With the COVID-19 pandemic still ongoing and national curfews in place, nobody’s going to be out on the street at midnight to welcome in the New Year. But are we going to be tucked in our beds, skipping the biggest party night of 2020-2021? No fear!
DStv’s channels have reached out to the talent, and we’re going to be bringing the party to you. And you can choose which party to join – a soothing Soul session for a mellow, sophisticated night, classic jazz, hip-hop, house and gqom – DStv has it all.
So dress up or dress down, but get ready to go to (virtual) town as we take a look at everything that’s on offer.
If it’s a concert you are craving, then there are a host of top-notch performances to choose from as DStv is bringing the concerts to your living room, so feel free to jump up and sing and dance along to some of your favourite songs.
From afrosoul to amapiano, hip hop to house and gqom, it is a musical mix designed to delight. It is the kind of line-up that will have music fans from across the country party ’til the break of dawn.

This is a massive two-hour party! On the list of performers are Amanda Black, Ami Faku, Blaq Diamond and Kamo Mphela. The event will be hosted by non-other than Somizi Mhlongo-Motaung.

DJ Tira has invited Simmy, Sjava, Sun-El Musician, Shimza, Focalistic, Master KG, Nomcebo Zikode, DJ Bongz, Songz, Zakwe & Duncan, Dlala Thukzin, Zakes Bantwini, Dladla Mshunqisi, Babes Wodumo, Mampintsha, Tipcee, Joocy and Beast to deliver 6 hours of music. “We need to let our hair down, enjoy a musical buffet and hope for a better 2021,” says DJ Tira.
