Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards postponed

The channel has announced an exciting line-up of family-friendly shows to keep kids entertained, including a brand-new reality music competition!

We know you were looking forward to celebrating (and sliming!) the world’s biggest and brightest stars at this year’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice awards, but sadly the 33rd annual show has been postponed indefinitely. Here’s what we know so far:

What’s the latest?

This year’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is one of a slew of award shows, music festivals and movie filming and premieres postponed or even cancelled due to the global pandemic, Coronavirus (Covid-19).

Scheduled for a jam-packed show on 22 March, the Kids’ Choice Awards celebrates singers, actors and all-round performers, and would be hosted by Grammy-Award winner, Chance the Rapper.

But amid global attempts to halt the spread of the Covid-19, the 33rd annual Kids Choice Awards has been postponed. A representative from Nickelodeon told, “The Kids’ Choice Awards scheduled for March 22, 2020, in Los Angeles is being postponed in consideration of the safety and well-being of every person involved with the show, which is our top priority. We will have further information about a new date in the future.”
