This week, the Sunday night blockbuster movie on M-Net (DStv channel 101) is The Outpost, a dangerous yet thrilling cat-and-mouse chase. When a small unit of US soldiers finds themselves in the middle of nowhere, they quickly realise they’re the only Americans for miles. Outnumbered and outgunned by fighters who continue to appear day after day with the intent to kill, they must fight for their survival.

Lifetime (DStv channel 131) continues its month of love with Summer Villa. It tells the romantic story of Terry and Matthew, a best-selling romance novelist and famous chef, respectively. After falling out of a tree stand at his childhood home, Matthew meets Terry, the daring woman who comes to his rescue.

Falling In Love Again on 1Magic (DStv channel 103) looks at the complexities of marriage. On to new partners, a recently divorced couple begins to cheat with one another. As they reconnect, they have to wonder if this might be their second shot at love...

New to M-Net Movies 3 (DStv channel 107), Admission is a rom-com that sees Tina Fey pair up with Paul Rudd – and is worth a watch, whether you’ve seen it already or not! A highly-trained Princeton admissions officer finds herself conflicted when she meets a prospective student who reminds her of the son she gave up for adoption.

The Outpost (War, Action)

Based on the true story of the Battle of Kamdesh, The Outpost follows the journey of a small American unit in Afghanistan that comes under attack by enemy troops. It stars Scott Eastwood (son of Clint) as Captain Dan and Orlando Bloom as Major Will as two newbies to the unit who must now fight for their lives.

Summer Villa (Romance)

Terry Walters (One Tree Hill’s Hilarie Burton) is a struggling romance novelist with severe writer’s block. Slowly getting to a crucial plot point in her newest novel, Terry decides she must leave her home in New York City to finish the book at an editor’s beautiful country villa in France. There, she finds Matthew Bromley, the brilliant and legendary chef and brother of her editor. Unbeknownst to both of them, they have quite the history, thanks to their spirited childhoods spent fighting over everything from a lifetime score on Atari classic Donkey Kong (Matthew) to who got to have dessert right away (Terry). These two were destined to meet again one day.

Falling in Love Again (Romance)

Though the phrase "you never forget your first love" has been around as long as marriage itself, it rings more true than ever when a middle-aged married couple decides to get a divorce. But what seems like a happy ending to a bad marriage ends up more complicated as the two begin an affair – with each other!

Admission (Romantic Comedy)

A romantic-comedy starring Tina Fey as Portia Nathan, an overly competitive and over-privileged Ivy League admissions officer who is more than meets the eye. She has to choose between DQ, a verbose stoner with good grades, LSAT scores and downright likeability factor, or Jeremiah Balakian (Nat Wolff), a smart teen from Vermont who attended private prep schools yet exhibits no extracurricular activities or impressive credentials. Portia's battle with herself ensues when she realises Jeremiah could potentially be the son she gave up for adoption.
