The new year’s looking a bit different in 2021 but that doesn’t mean you have to forego calm in your home with screaming kids that are tired of staying indoors. DStv’s got just the thing to bust their boredom with exciting new shows and new episodes of all-time faves.
Spyders, whichdebuts on Nickelodeon (DStv 305), kicks off a slate of new action-adventure programming that includes a movie special of everyone’s favourite four-legged friends, the Paw Patrol. For lessons on friendship and dealing with everyday life, My Little Pony: Pony Life and Peppa Pig season seven dish out some life lessons that are sure to stand the little ones in good stead. And for educational wildlife content, kids who enjoy the great outdoors can expect nothing less from pop-up channel ZooMoo (DStv 314), which heads for the skies with Owl’s Fabulous Feather Friends.

In this made-for-TV movie special, everyone’s favourite paw-tastic pups go up against a scheming Duke, who turns out to be the Princess’s cousin. When the Duke steals a levitation gem from the castle, it’s up to the Paw Patrol to save the town from disappearing forever. High-flying adventure ensues, including saving a stunt pilot and flying to Jake’s Mountain.

Little ones will be delighted at the return of Peppa and her baby brother George. Of course, their adventures always end happily with loud snorts of laughter.

Pop-up channel ZooMoo has already brought a dearth of wildlife educational programming to DStv and this special is no different. A collaboration between wildlife filmmakers, early childhood development educationalists and tech developers, ZooMoo uses documentary footage, puppets and myriad other film techniques to educate and entertain children with the wonders of the animal kingdom.
