Twitter takes on The Dream: The Lebo Mathosa Story

In the wake of the highly anticipated premiere of the Lebo Mathosa limited series, we saw it fitting to see how you, the viewer, responded.

We South Africans have an affinity to voice our feelings in true fourth industrial revolution style, via our coveted social media platforms. When the six-part miniseries hit our screens with some of Mzansi’s most recognisable faces - like Connie Chiume (Grassroots) and Peter Sephuma (Rhythm City) - it was bound to elicit a lot of praise from the masses. After all, there is nothing we love more than witnessing living legends show the young ones how it’s done.

The streets of Twitter-verse were running amok with reviews and if you still need a reason why you should tune in, then listen to your fellow countrymen. But why take our word for it when you can join the fray of the those applauding the story of one of the greatest entertainers of our generation.

The series might not have covered Lebo’s group, Boom Shaka thus far (stay tuned, though), but actress Rami Chuene (The Queen) hails it for including Lebo’s former dancers.

The “Rock Lefatshe” singer indeed rocked her role despite sceptics saying that KB is tad too old to be portraying a singer, who was 29 when she passed away.

KB is a triple threat and her fans know that!
