Make your date night with the new Honey channel, The Bachelorette SA, Love Island SA and a Perfect Planet
February on DStv Premium is all about love – love for our planet with shows like BBC’s A Perfect Planet and Survival Of The Species With Ben Fogle, and love for adventure in series like Griff’s Great Australian Adventure.
There's love for love’s sake, too, on M-Net (DStv 101) as Derek and Meredith reunite in the brand-new season of Grey’s Anatomy! Bachelorette Qiniso van Damme searches for her Mr. Right in local reality series The Bachelorette SA, and sexy singles make their move in the brand-new reality show Love Island South Africa.
In a celebration of all the entertainment we love, the 2021 MTV Africa Music Awards will air on Saturday, 20 February on MTV Base (DStv 360) at 21:00. And E! Live From The Red Carpet will bring us the fashion moments from the 2021 Golden Globes on Sunday, 28 February on E! Entertainment (DStv 124) at 00:00 (Monday morning).
And oh, honey! If you’ve lost your heart to African entertainment, you’ll be counting down the day to the launch of DStv’s brand-new pan-African lifestyle channel, Honey (DStv 173). A Perfect Planet, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, is one of those nature documentaries that rivals even our top soaps for drama and Oscar-winning films for cinematography. This exploration of the systems that drive life on Earth and the animals that adapt to them is exclusive to DStv Premium viewers and just so, so beautiful it’ll make you love having eyeballs. And there are other familiar faces showing us our planet in fascinating ways, too, since we still can’t scratch that travel bug. See what’s coming from Ben Fogle and Griff Rhys Jones…
Homestead Rescue’s Marty Raney and The Block Australia are getting hands on with new series and new seasons. They’ll be showing us just what we can do if we put our hearts into making homes to love.
A brand-new reboot of the Walker Texas Ranger series starring Supernatural’s Jared Padalecki, 2 Shonda Rhimes’ shows with crossover episodes, 2 FBI series, a Brit crime thriller, a new Jerry Bruckheimer crime show – however you like to get your TV-watching workout, these shows are going to get your heart rate up. And we’re starting to see how all the different shows have worked COVID-19 into their storylines, which is fascinating because every one is a little different.
We’ll be getting our weekly perspective on crazy US and global news when John Oliver returns, Matt LeBlanc is turning 50, and NCIS star Pauley Perrette is broke as a joke and taking care of family. You just have to laugh!
And because you love your little ones, too, there’s a host of delightful movies from around the world to spark their imagination that won’t keep them up on a school night.
Whether you love a shoot-’em-up, a classic like Little Women, crime capers, comedy or inventive horror, M-Net and the M-Net movies channels are bringing you sheer entertainment. Go on, make a date and have a watch part with someone you fancy. There will be so much to talk about.
