Watch SA choir make it big on America’s Got Talent
There are two talent shows you need to be watching right now: America’s Got Talent on M-Net, and America’s Got Talent: The Champions on VUZU.
The Ndlovu Youth Choir from Limpopo is making our country proud in the 14th season of America’s Got Talent, which premiered in the United States in May.
As one of the best-loved acts of the season, the choir has sailed through round after round and has made it to the final – proof that South Africans can more than hold their own and make their voices heard on the global stage!
Then there’s a hot new spin-off to watch, America’s Got Talent: The Champions, which features successful and notable participants from previous seasons returning to try again to win the show. What makes it hugely interesting is that this spin-off of the original show includes winners, finalists and must-watch acts from worldwide editions of the franchise, creating a “United Nations” of talent. The winner will be crowned World Champion and walk away with US$25 000 (about R370,000).
South Africa is represented by six-year-old DJ Arch Jnr (Oratilwe AJ Hlongwane), the youngest club DJ in the world and the winner of SA’s Got Talent in 2015. He makes his first appearance in the third episode. We’re not going to spoil it for you by revealing too much, but the little guy is going to get a standing ovation from all the judges, including Simon Cowell himself!
