We watched it and we had to ask ourselves is everyone going to die?

This isn’t the only record that the show broke, it has also won more Emmy Awards  - ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY TWO - than any other drama show and costs more to produce than any TV Show in history, averaging a budget of $10 million per episode, with the final six episodes costing nearer to $15 million each.

The show is also infamous for its exceptionally high death-toll, which is currently sitting at 186 characters who we have loved (or loved to hate) and lost, and that’s from a pool of only 330 characters, it’s the equivalent of every second character wearing a red shirt! Take a quick look back at the best villain from each season.

Unbelievably, this 5-book phenomenon is entering its final season, with just 6 episodes but HBO have promised that each one of these will be like watching a movie. Fans have been salivating at the promise of extra length episodes and what promises to be an extra big death toll, with the cast dropping hints, some true and some, who knows, about who will make it and who, well, you know, they have a 50% chance of not…

If you haven’t watched it yet and still need a reason to get into the phenomenon that is GOT, here is a bit of Trailer action:

Where and When to Watch

Between DStv and Showmax you can, literally, watch anywhere!

M-Net (101) has always had you covered and this year is no different – you will be able to watch every extra-length episode with the rest of the world at 03:00 every Monday morning, so set your alarm and warn your neighbours and family not to be afraid when they hear screeches that sound like dragons at war with a hoard of frozen zombies, in the dark hours. For the best experience make sure you have your Explora hooked up to the biggest screen you can get your hands on, with surround sound that will shake the Arctic.

If, however, winter has come to your neck of the woods and club-duvet is the only place you’ll be at 03:00, you can stream M-Net (101) on DStv Now. Make sure you’ve downloaded (App Store /  Google Play) and activated DStv Now on your devices! If it's your first time getting set up take a look at our top tips for Dstv Now for newbies.

If 03:00 is a step too far, the episode will rebroadcast at 22:00 on M-Net (101) every Monday and added to Catch Up.

And if that’s not enough options; Showmax will also have every episode, added at 22:00 every Monday.

In a nutshell, here is what the next six weeks of your life look like – check out those durations!
