With a fantastic score of 98% on the movie critic site Rotten Tomatoes, Can You Ever Forgive Me? is quite simply one of those movies you just cannot miss. Stellar comedienne Melissa McCarthy shines in her dramatic role as real-life character Lee Israel, a washed-up writer who gets the idea of plagiarising letters by famous authors like Dorothy Parker and Noel Coward, and selling them for massive profits. Her partner in crime is alcoholic Jack (brilliantly played by Richard E Grant), a down-and-out loser who will do anything for a quick buck. The movie received numerous awards and nominations, including three Academy Award nominations, for Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay.
